📜 A Call to America

An Open Letter to My Fellow Citizens

Dear America,

We are sick.

Not sick because of our race, our class, or our political party, but because we allow hate and violence to fester. This week alone, we’ve seen too much: a young woman stabbed in the neck on a subway, a father of two murdered for his ideas, another community shaken by a school shooting, and now the public assassination of Charlie Kirk at just 31 years old.

A History of Blood Cried Out

This sickness is not new. Our history is scarred with it:

  • Jesus Christ, crucified for teaching love, truth, and the Kingdom of God. His blood became the redemption of the world.

  • Abraham Lincoln, murdered for ending slavery and preserving the Union.

  • Mahatma Gandhi, murdered for leading with peace.

  • Martin Luther King Jr., murdered for preaching equality and nonviolence.

  • John F. Kennedy, murdered for standing against the bullies of power.

  • And now, Charlie Kirk, murdered for his beliefs—whether you loved him or despised him, another voice silenced by bullets.

What are we teaching people in America? That if you do not think in a certain realm, or fit into a certain box, you are dead? That disagreement is now a death sentence?

If that is what we have become, we are no longer a republic. We are no longer civilized.

The Enemy’s Plan

The enemy wants us scared. The enemy wants us divided. They know if we are consumed by fear, we will stop seeing one another as human beings, and they can pick us apart piece by piece.

But we fear no man. We fear only God, and it is His justice alone that never fails.

A Father’s Cry

I am a 31-year-old Black man, an American, and soon to be a father. I work with people different from me every single day, and I do it with love. I do not care about race, height, weight, or background. I care about life.

But raising a child in this environment is terrifying. When leaders and neighbors alike are struck down for their ideas, what message does that send to the next generation? That freedom of thought is forbidden? That the price of speaking truth is death?

God’s Law, Not Man’s Hate

We need to put God’s law back in order. God’s law is simple: Love your neighbor as yourself. That is the true meaning of patriotism—not waving a flag while hating your brother, but lifting one another up so we can all stand strong together.

Have we not learned from Cain and Abel? Jealousy and anger turned a brother into a murderer. And God said, “Your brother’s blood cries out from the ground.” America’s ground is crying out today.

Understanding Violence

It is not guns that kill people. You can set a gun on a table, and it will sit for years collecting dust. It will never fire on its own. A gun becomes lethal only when a person decides to aim it and pull the trigger.

The true danger is not the weapon—it is the heart and mind of the one holding it.

  • The Sandy Hook shooter did not kill because the gun “made him.” He killed because of a sickness inside him.

  • Police officers who cross the line into brutality do so not because their badge forces them, but because of what’s in their mindset.

  • The assassin who killed Charlie Kirk did not fire because a rifle demanded it—he fired because hate and evil inside told him it was justified.

No amount of money, no ideology, no grudge is worth a human life.

For the Good of the Republic

For the good of the Republic, we must become more civilized. Civilization is not measured by technology, armies, or wealth—it is measured by how we treat those who disagree with us.

If we destroy every voice that does not align with our own, we do not have freedom—we have tyranny.

The Call to Action

Killers are never in the right. Taking innocent life is never right.

It is time for America to heal. It is time to remember that we are stronger together than apart. It is time to choose unity, to choose reason, and to choose love.

So let us declare:

  • No more separation.

  • No more senseless death.

  • No more fear.

Final Declaration

This is my call to America.

Stand together. Heal together. Live together. Fear no man. Trust only in God’s justice. And never again allow the sickness of hate to guide the heart of our nation.

Sincerely,

Gerrion Grim III
